An audition is a sample performance by an actor, singer, musician,
dancer or other performer. It typically involves the performer displaying
their talent through a previously memorized and rehearsed solo piece or
by performing a work or piece given to the performer at the audition or
shortly before. In some cases, such as with a model or acrobat,
the individual may be asked to demonstrate a range of professional skills.
Actors may be asked to present a monologue. Singers will perform
a song in a popular music context or an aria in a Classical context.
A dancer will present a routine in a specific style, such as ballet,
tap dance or hip-hop, or show his or her ability to quickly learn a
choreographed dance piece

The audition is a systematic process in which industry professionals
select performers, which is in some ways analogous to a job interview
in the regular job market..,

A World Endeavors internship in media studies places
participants with companies that produce television, radio,
and film. Internship tasks depend to a great extent on the specific
internship placement. Past interns have operated cameras, edited film clips,
conducted interviews, and helped develop and produce new projects.
Others have assisted with designing websites, planning marketing strategies,
and organizing special events.
Many are involved with producing
English-language programming in non-English speaking countries,
and some assist their employers with English-speaking clients or with translating materials.
Some research and administrative support may also be a part of interns’ responsibilities.

Kudos Film and Television is a British independent film and television production company.
It has produced television series for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and its productions include
Spooks (US:MI5), Hustle, Life on Mars and its spin-off Ashes to Ashes,
The Amazing Mrs Pritchard and M.I. High. In 2007 it was voted Best Independent
Production Company by Broadcast magazine. Formed in 1992, since 2007 it has been
part of the Shine Group. In 2007 it also set up the film unit, Kudos Pictures

The company was formed in 1992. It came to international attention with the BAFTA Award
winning spy drama Spooks, which debuted on BBC One on 13 May 2002.
In late 2006, the company was sold to Shine Limited for around £35m.[1] Shine also
bought Princess Productions and Firefly Production to create the Shine Group,
although all four divisions retained their individual identity.
